So lately I’ve been raiding Ulduar in WoW. Overall, I really like the instance. The instance looks cool and the fights are challenging and interesting. As entertaining as rolling Naxxramas has been, its nice to actually have to think about how to take down the various encounters. It really surprises me how many people don’t actually want to put for the effort to actually down the bosses though. They simply expect loot to fall from the sky into their outstretched hands and seem to be offended by the idea that they might have to expend effort. If you’re not going to be a raider, there’s nothing wrong with that. Just don’t expect the benefits of raiding (AKA seeing the instances, getting the loot), if you’re not willing to put in the effort to raid (playing well, showing up on time, spending the time wiping to bosses to learn the fights). Also, whining doesn’t down bosses as well as just stepping up and learning the fight. At least thats my experience. C’est la vie, I suppose.

Anyway, as frustrating as certain raiders can be, they can be quite inspiring. In this case, I came up with a haiku for them. Behold! I have channeled my stress into something creative:

My Ulduar raiders,
You whine and bitch far too much,
PLZ LRN2PLAY n00bs!

And I couldn’t stop there, so here’s the bosses we’ve killed so far:

Flame Leviathan,
He chases our vehicles,
but stunned, he succombs.

Razorscale taunts us,
Flying, breathing, down he comes,
Now we have his loot.

The Furnace Master,
Golems shatter in water,
Fire burns the raid.

Did I mention I was main tank? That inspires this one:

Ignis has killed me.
He hit me for 30k.
The golems run free.
